In this set of photos we where going to Balicasag, it’s a small island off the coast of Bohol. This is where my friend Willma found Nemo and I actually met Nemo. I’m sorry I didn’t have an underwater camera to film that part. Most of my photos are in B&W but somethings need color. But I enjoyed Balicasag x2.

I hope you enjoy the photos!!

Be Happy at Work and Be a More Positive Person

During all of our years as children, we are asked what we want to be when we grow up, and for the most part, those occupations are simply dreams that die with age. When we become young adults, we choose a career path that suits our skills and our education, but there are still very few people who really enjoy how they earn a living. This has nothing to do with which job they have chosen or the hours they work. It has everything to do with their attitude, and this is something you can achieve in your life as well.

Choose to be Happy

The first step towards being happy at work is to choose to be happy. My parents always told me that only I could make today better than yesterday. No one else can do it for you. In fact, even the best boss and coworkers will put you in a situation that could make you unhappy, but it is actually really easy to let those things slide when you have chosen to be happy at work.

There are quite a few things you can do to make sure you maintain this positive attitude at work. First, you should try to smile more. The brain links smiling to happiness, so if you are ever feeling down, try to smile through it, and it will help you think of happier thoughts. Also, stop worrying about the future, especially those things you can’t avoid or control. Take a breath and let those things go. Whatever happens, you will find a way to work through it and resolve any problems that arise.

If you are finding it hard to change your attitude and staying optimistic, think about the fact that you actually have a job. There are many people in this country and around the world who aren’t able to provide for themselves or their families. Take a minute or two and remember what having a job would mean to someone who is unemployed. Think about what it would do to your lifestyle if you were to suddenly loose this job and were forced to take a worse job than you have now. There are a lot of reasons to be grateful for what you have.

Find Something Good in Every Day

You took the job you have for a reason, so there has to be something about it that you love. Find something you enjoy doing every day and look forward to that as soon as you wake up in the morning. You will find that you are more motivated to get to that point in your day and you will work harder because of it.

Another way you can motivate yourself is to take a break. You don’t want to get so overwhelmed with what you are doing that you stress yourself to the point of depression. Schedule a break or two in your day and do something you enjoy during those few minutes. Read a book, listen to music, or have a cup of coffee while you spend a moment with your thoughts. If you put some “you time” in your day, it will make each period of time between the breaks seem more bearable.

Avoid Negative People

Negative people are the worst kinds of coworkers, so avoid them at all costs. They will only bring you down, no matter how great your day has gone. The gossip and negative conversations they tend to spread around can impact you and the people you are talking about.

Make Friends

Work friends don’t have to be your best friends, but they are essential to being happy at work. They know what you are going through and are a great source of advice when you’re having a rough day at the office. Make sure the friends you choose are going to be supportive and encouraging in the work place. Get to know them well and you may even find friends that will last long after you have moved on from this job.

Search for Something New

If all else fails, it may be time to look for a new job. You don’t want to spend your entire life doing something you hate, but you also don’t want to lose the paycheck you are getting before you have secured another job. Don’t look for a new job while you are supposed to be working, and make sure you are able to leave your job with dignity.
