History may take seconds, minutes, hours to create. It may take days, years, even centuries to make an impact on lives. But I know it doesn’t take a single month to celebrate it or to look back on it. Don’t allow a month to be the only time you celebrate and/or look back on your history. Remember history will be here long after you and I are gone. So please do not treat your history like it only happens one month out of a year.

Stevie Wonder is one of the greatest artist of all-time. His music has touched and continues to touch the world as we know it. Here is a song that has blessed me with encouragement to always be open to love.  Thanks Stevie

Did you know that true love asks for nothing
Her acceptance is the way we pay
Did you know that life has given love a guarantee
To last through forever and another day
Just as time knew to move on since the beginning
And the seasons know exactly when to change
Just as kindness knows no shame
Know through all your joy and pain
That I’ll be loving you always
As today I know I’m living but tomorrow
Which make me the past but that I mustn’t fear
For I’ll know deep in my mind
The love of me I’ve left behind Cause I’ll be loving you always

Wow, what a day, it feels like a perfect Saturday for some great photos in New York. So I swiftly jump out of my bed like something bit me. I prepare for this glorious day with my Saturday routine of a shower, ironing my clothes, and a haircut. When I am done with the routine, I walk up to my camera like it’s my favorite trophy. I get my lens clothe and gently wipe it off with the thoughts of my day vividly running through my head. The more I delicately rub, wipe, and touch the lens the bigger my smile becomes. I put my camera together with the efficiency of a soldier putting his gun together. I put the camera over my shoulder, head straight for the door and walk out with a force field of confidence. Soon as I get outside, my eyes turn into two cameras with my brain processing images like a photo lab. I see so many images that can be a possible shot for greatness. I get in my car and drive downtown Newark. During the drive my eyes scan the environment; I become more and more of a photo hunter. And on this day, I feel very prepared to catch my prey for satisfaction of my photographic hunger. I park my car then walk up the stairs to the path train. My anticipation of New York has thoughts sprinting through my head. I catch a few saying, “I can’t wait to get there! I know I am going to come back home with a camera full of photo delights.” While I am sitting on the train I have thoughts of angles and right moments for photos. The wonderful thing about photography is my mental imagery can be shown through photos. It’s an art that can express true feelings and thoughts without words. The train finally arrives and I step out of the tunnel onto the street with a feeling of a person getting out of a time machine. There’s so much to take in, just a new world to explore. I walk into Union Square Park with my eyes wide processing colors, people’s movements, and the overall surroundings. It’s what I call “Photography Heaven” and I am prepared to capture it all. With each shot I take, the more my passion for photography showed. It got to the point that some of the people enjoying the park asked me questions, “What are you taking photos for? How long have you been doing this? Do you enjoy it?” I happily answer all questions presented; leaving each person with tidbits of my passion, as if I thumb tacked it to them. But just before I decide to go home, I felt like I was missing something. I didn’t get that one picture, the shot that puts a perfect climax to a great day. And that’s when I saw it, a shot that would close the cap to my day of photography. I see a couple of pigeons scrambling for food. I prepare my camera, focus on the pigeons and that’s when one of the pigeons lifts his head. I shoot like a top ranked sniper and the end result was a photo that showed me a beauty to pigeons rarely seen. Pigeons have this eye catching, radiant colorful blend down their necks that surprised me more then an unforeseen pregnancy. The luminous colors on their necks had me think the first thing on a pigeon’s to-do list was to walk through a rainbow after a rain shower. After that photo I headed home. I am sitting on the train looking through my camera, examining all the photos I took of the day. As I am doing this my mind starts to drift into photography’s impact on my life. I realized how the principles of photography have been applied to my life. With my eyes as a camera, I have seen different perspectives to problems and choices in my life. The angles and surroundings sometimes have changed my perspective on how to make that choice. But with my vision of a situation processing in my brain’s mental photo lab, I always try to make the best decision for my life. More then this discovery, photography has added to my eyes the ability to touch the true picturesque beauty of someone or something. It has opened my mind to the value of small treasures we take for granite everyday. Photography has given me a side of expression that has brought people, who view my work, an inch closer to knowing who I am. It’s an art form that has developed my ambition for self significance. And with the growth of my ambition that photography has produced, my camera has opened a world that my two eyes have fallen in love with.

I watched  Up, and it’s a must see, that’s if you haven’t seen already. I really recommend it. It has timeless humor and still hits everyday issues within the storyline. One of the best animation movies I have ever seen.
