On Oct. 2nd I got a chance to experience Central Park for the first time in my life and I must say it was better then I imagined. I had a great time in one of the world’s greatest parks. The life of the people, the color of  love all around me, and the feel of such a equal, peaceful place could only be described as wonderful. I just can’t wait to experience the park when the leaves match the colors of love and joy people spread through out the park. When I left the park all I could think to myself was,

“What a wonderful world!”

“The Main Attraction”

“The Show is About To Start”

About a week or two ago I had the pleasure of interviewing a striving artist in Brooklyn, New York. My experience with James Shields gave me a tidbit of his world. His use of vibrant colors in his paintings can best be described by him as “Energy busting out.” The mixture of his personal experiences with his love of hip-hop is shown vividly through his work. The passion he has in his work is so strong that he decided to make it a career and that is decision I tip my hat off to. To see a person put his all into something he believes in, even to the point of making a decision that most people couldn’t; that is motivation at it’s best. I want to thank James Shields for helping me get a little bit closer to my work. He has shown me that being artist takes hard work and sometimes sacrifice. I guess in this case it’s no pain no gain. I’m just glad he gave me the encouragement to embrace a decision like the one he made, should I ever cross that bridge. Keep that good art coming James Shields, you have a fan in me.

It’s funny how we can always lend a helping hand to the unfortunate of the world. But we get caught up in our own world that we don’t care, ignore, or just aren’t aware of the help we can provide to the unfortunate.  We walk by them everyday as if they’re apart of the street like an ad on a wall. I guess to truly understand there world we may have to live in it before we realize we can actually provide salvation to people searching for some.

On September 5th I had the pleasure of photographing the Brazilian Festival in midtown Manhatten. It was a great experience and the energy was on high. I got to see the Brazilian culture at it’s finest with their love and passion for their country. It had moments that could only be captured by my camera. So here are the results of a Brazilian Festival captured with my third eye. Hope you enjoy.

“Welcome To A Brazilian Party”

“Brazilian Smiles”

“Keep It Moving People”

“Let’s Party Like It’s 1999”

For the past couple of months I have been working with a young music group called SPACE CLUB. Lime Ltye, Key, and HiDef is bringing a movement to the city that only space can hold. This trio of young artists are trying to get their style and music out to the world. The group is based in Newark, New Jersey. Their combination of sharp lyrical content coupled with a unique sound produced by Lime Ltye has their future looking space bound. It feels good to see young people with a complete mixture of (S)tyle.(P)eace.(A)nd.(C)ulture trying to (E)nhance a city that can always use this type of energy. So check for more music from Space Club. Watch the group grow on their journey for the stars; S.P.A.C.E.

Space Club’s very own Hi Def newest single.

Gently Down the stream.
